Welcome to the New Site!

Posted By John Trotti 2 Comments

Welcome to the new GX Contractor Web site. You’re among the first to experience our beta site, and we’re glad to have you onboard to help us test the waters, try out the site’s new features, and let us know what you think.

We’ve always made the content of the magazine available online, but now it’ll be much easier for you to find current articles as well as browse and search through past issues to find exactly what you need. You’ll also have access to all the latest industry news and information, as well as a calendar of upcoming grading and excavating related classes, conferences, and events.

We’re also hoping this new site will allow us to do something more by creating an interactive community where grading and excavating professionals can communicate with one another in real time. When you have something to say or a question to pose, you can do it here and immediately reach an audience of like-minded (or at least similarly informed) people.

Whether you comment on existing content or start a new topic or heated debate, our new site is set up to encourage you to reach out to your colleagues and provide an easy and accessible forum for everyone concerned about, or interested in, construction issues.

So please take some time to explore the site and tell us what you like, what you don’t, and if there's a feature you don't see that's important enough to bring you back time and again.

Thank you for your interest and feedback!

All looks good. I'm still exploring all the new features. Keep up the good work. Thad

I build 3D models for machine control and I have been following the different states requirements for who can create these models. Some states require a licensed Engineer or Surveyor to perform this task. I have taught many people to create accurate 3D models from Engineers, Surveyors, Cad Techs, construction guys and anyone who wanted to learn. Some got it, others didn't. Who do you think should be creating the models? Should they be licensed or not? Thanks for your input. Thad Glankler, PE President Glankler Data Services
